UK Director
The British half of African Ambition Tours fell in love with Tanzania when she spent 9 months volunteering in a primary school located on the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro. This insightful experience gave her the opportunity to travel around during the school holidays, thus visiting most regions in the country. Africa firmly "got under her skin" and she returned again and again, climbing Mount Kilimanjaro twice for charity (the second time as team leader for a group of 25 young people from England), exploring the many beaches of Zanzibar and catching a ferry across Lake Victoria to visit Uganda. After she met the Tanzanian Director (see below) during one of these visits, they discussed the idea of establishing a tour company that would generate employment for local people and give others the opportunity to experience the delights that Tanzania provides. Having studied International Development at university, her commitment to tourism benefiting local people coupled with environmental protection is at the heart of African Ambition's work. A passion for Tanzania, travel and meeting people resulted in the creation of African Ambition Tours in order to provide you with a high-quality, great value and unforgettable visit to Tanzania.
Tanzanian Director
Being of the Chagga tribe, Kilimanjaro is in his blood (the Chagga are from the Kilimanjaro region). However, he was educated in Dar es Salaam before returning to his roots and embarking on a career in tourism. He has extensively studied wildlife and has gained practical knowledge through becoming a qualified safari guide in addition to working on Mount Kilimanjaro for over 7 years. He enjoys meeting people from all over the world and prides himself on going the extra mile to ensure clients receive the best possible experience from their trip to Tanzania. So, whether you want to climb to the roof of Africa or take a trip through Tanzania's famous National Parks, rest assured that your visit will be one to cherish for a life time! He is fluent in English and Spanish as well as his native Swahili. If you would like to experience local life in Tanzania, meet "real" people and eat traditional food, he can arrange home visits for you to get a flavour of true Tanzanian hospitality.
Karibu sana (you're warmly welcome)
