“Climbing Kilimanjaro was definitely the most amazing and most difficult thing I have ever done. The landscape was breathtaking, especially the first and last days where you walk through rainforest. I loved the fact that every single minute of the climb was an adventure.
As I got closer to the summit I felt like I was standing on top of the world. I lost my whole sense of time and all I could think about was to finally get to Uhuru Peak. The final ascent was the hardest but also the most rewarding!
I remember my first words on the way back down were ‘I will never do this again...NEVER!’ But now I am here preparing to climb again in 2010 as group leader for a charity event. I am already excited and cannot wait to get on that magical mountain again!” Mona Friedrich from Germany
“The highlights of my trip to Tanzania were climbing to the top of Kilimanjaro and going on safari, where I was amazed to see lions and elephants so close up! also loved staying a night on the beach at Pangani before taking a traditional dhow boat across the Indian Ocean to Zanzibar. the people we met were so friendly and welcoming; in fact the only thing I would change about the whole holiday would be to add more time to further explore the beautiful country!” Clare Molloy from UK
